I have just looked at the times for the Medal Final being played tomoorow and note that 2 players (N McLeod and P Norton) are included who did not win a medal in the 2011 competition year, so why are they playing tomorrow?

I wish you had had the common courtesy to contact me and find out the facts rather than using the web site to potentially embarrass two players publicly who have every right to be in the Medal Final. The fact that they were not on my original list was an error on my part. However, I am truly surprised that anyone has the time to cross check the participants against the list. You really do need to get a life!
The following link from the Medal played on 2nd October 2010 (providing the technology is working!!) will prevent anyone questioning the eligibility of Paul and Nick to play tomorrow and I truly hope that they win.

A simple explanation that the players in question had qualified from the 2nd Oct 2010 medal and been left off the eligible players list would have sufficed. Additionally it would have saved any questions regarding the issue of how firm announced closing dates for competitions are,
As for the potential embassassment it would have been as nothing compared to that had they won and not been eligible, or even figured well given the current PoY race.

As club captian, do you think that is any way to answer a question from a member of the club, I am shocked in the way you have answered Crispin's question.
I think a simply reply would of done, but telling someone to get a life is going to far. it just show's, what everyone thinks, what a bad year this has been.

glad you noticed that I was div 2 winner of medal 2 Oct 2010 first comp of the season, but then again it was so long ago the memory fades . . . enjoyed the round today, Crispin you win the club throwing comp, and Michael the crow took my ball off the 15th green comp . . and I win the '10 on the first hole' comp although fair play to you with your score on the 16th
cheers
