Due to the limited number of entrants, the first matches played correspond to the 2nd round on the published competition schedule and thus matches have to be played on or by the 10th June.

One of the commonest problems encountered in playing matches is when there is uncertainty or disagreement on how to proceed in situation which has arisen during the course of a match.This problem is handled under Rule 2 - Match Play, of the Rules of Golf, more specifically Rule 2-5 Doubts as to Proceedure, Disputes and Claims. Please read the rule book for the exact and comprehensive wording of this rule.

Trent Park participated in this NAPGC run competition for high handicap (19+) golfers for the first time this year.
Drawn against Haste Hill our side, under the leadership of John Whelan, accredited themselves well but unfortunately lost by 15 points. An honourable mention shold go to Tony Defendi and Scott Kyle who managed to accumulate 41 points in their game. This situation is one which crops up regularly in matches. A player again playing in a match concedes an opponent their putt and then either rolls the player’s ball back to their opponent or knocks it back with their putter. Is this a breach of rule 16-1d – testing the surface of the putting green?
