Captain's Report February 2010
February has been a busy month implementing changes to Trent Park Golf Club to provide more information for members around handicaps and competition results.
Farewell Croft, Hello Handicap Master
February saw the introduction of a new handicap system for Trent Park. Croft, our long standing Handicap system, is being replaced and with it comes a whole host of new information. Firstly TPGC competition results will have more information such as complete count-back stats for each player. Secondly all our results are going online so you can check your playing record hole-by-hole and see all other players. More to come on this in the next few weeks.
Valentines Shield
This year the Valentines Shield was won by the Ladies 3 Matches to 1. Well done to Bernadette Shehan and the Ladies section who played really well in tough conditions.
Silly Season
Firstly thank you to all members for completing all necessary KO rounds in February. We managed to get back on-track after the terrible weather in January.
March sees the start of a busy period for the club as the inter club competitions begin. March 14 sees our first away match in the Mail on Sunday (MOS) competition. We play Stableford Abbotts GC away in a Matchplay singles format. We need 5 relatively low handicap players to play for the club. Crispin Roche and Paul Murphy have been approaching players who are not already committed to play in our own competitions to get together a team.
If you are available and want to play please let me know and we can add you to our pool of players. Other competitions starting soon are;

Clapham Common
Bourne Vannick
Frank Rowse Trophy
Daily Mail Foursomes
Plus individual entries into the Mens Championship of England and the UKPCC
Phew, and that's on top of our regular competition dates. If you like competitive golf, you've come to the right place.
