Meet your new TPGC Committee for 2012

Following the clubs AGM and the election of the Officers, I am delighted to say this year we have an excellent committee of many talents, experiences and new ideas.

For the first time in the history of TPGC we welcome our first Lady President, Lynwen Bailey. I think this appointment says a lot about the modern, forward thinking attitude of our committee, who unanimously thought Lynwen was the best person for this prestigious role.

We welcome Mandy Wimsett who takes over as Lady Captain with Billie Waters as her Vice.

Also new to the committee, we have Nikos, the Vice Captain, who last year did a super job in looking after the Sunday Sweep (so I'm told).

The new Hon. Secretary this year is Bernadette Sheehan who takes over from Matt Clarke who moves to a new role in the Committee as IT and Communications, looking after web and IT.

Nero Jani is now the past Captain and his main role is support to the Captain (and I need it!) and dealing as an interface with Andy Copeland on Course issues.

It's also very good news that Crispin Roche has decided to stand on the Committee in a new position as the Competitions Committee Chair. Crispin's knowledge on Golf Rules, organising competitions, dealing with any golfing issues is going to be invaluable.

Paul Murphy also comes back into the fold working as support to Crispin and has his own role as Inter Match Secretary.

Must not forget the important work that Martin Coyle our Handicap Secretary does every week and Geddes Primus our Hon.Tresurer who both stand again in the same roles.

The past Lady captain Breda Ellis, who did such a good job as Lady captain last year is now the Social Secretary and will be organising some exciting new events for the club during the year. So watch this space.
