We had a great day today, Trent Park beating Royal Epping in the Hawtree to go through to the National Semi Finals against Southern England!! A great result with a decisive win by the home team playing at TP (Lesley, Ken, Jane and Alan). However, it was Bernadette's HOLE-IN-ONE on the 7th at Royal Epping that stole the show. A first for Bernadette and a marvellous 1 for 5 on the scorecard. Well done Bernadette and well done team!

What a way for me and Dave to finish our year of captaincy with a win in the Mixed Winter Greensomes this Sunday. It was a really close call, with our net 68 just beating runners up Diane McLoughin and Paul Fanning who scored net 69. It was a lovely sunny day and everyone enjoyed the game. Well done to the rest of the field: Andrea and Ken; Billie and Kevin; Bernadette and Ricky; Jane and Tony; Imen and Charles. Mixed greensomes is a great format and we look forward to the Summer competition…

Lynwen Bailey, Trent Park Golf Club's first Lady President hosted a fun and successful day on Sunday 2nd September. There was a large field of 72 players and some high scores achieved by the winners. Well done to Alan Bowe, overall winner with 40 points; Esat Mehrubeoglu, who came 2nd with 39 points and Me(!) overall 3rd and Ladies Winner with 39 points (pipped at the post on the back 9!).
