Congratulations to all the players and winners on the first major of the season.
We had a great turn out with 66 players who struggled in to play in the miserable weather!. No hang on that was last year! The weather was great this year. I think the Dave McGibbon weather curse could finally be over.
The course was in fantastic condition - thanks Andy Copeland and his team. Listening to the players who played other courses in Inter Club Competitions recently our course is much…Continue

Trent Park participated in this NAPGC run competition for high handicap (19+) golfers for the first time this year.
Drawn against Haste Hill our side, under the leadership of John Whelan, accredited themselves well but unfortunately lost by 15 points. An honourable mention shold go to Tony Defendi and Scott Kyle who managed to accumulate 41 points in their game. The full team comprised John Whelan (captain) & Barry Holcroft and John Rooney & Mick Griffin playing at…Continue

This is a tricky situation, basically covered by Decisions 16-1d/1 and 16-1d/2,…Continue
Recently a couple of rules issues raised their heads so for everybody’s education here is how they should have been resolved. Apologies to those actually involved in the situations if the exact details are a little vague.
Situation 1 A player play a match, more precisely a 4BBB match, hits their tee shot out right on the 16th hole. Suspecting it was out of bounds he…Continue

Me again, well I would like to report on another great titanic match played last Saturday at Trent Park against Potters Bar artisans in the Mail on Sunday.
The team was Mike Smith, Allan Forbes, Martin Neiland, Martin Coyle and myself (Luke Stephanides) respectively.
I myself started off very well and one putted the first 5 greens, I was two up. I knew Martin Coyle in front of me was also two up. Game on I thought, then I heard the news that everyone ahead was…Continue
