Tony Davies is back home after spending last night in Chase Farm hospital where he had tests for a 'racing' heart rate. We wish him a speedy return to full health and hope he gets back to organizing (and winning!) Night Owls weekends abroad..

Having just finished the summer Stabelford, I think it would be good if the club introduced a midweek winter competition.
It could be another Stableford competition, but the possibility of a stroke play or match play competition should be investigated.
A stroke play competition would not need much organisation, it could be done like the Stableford, with a minimum of two players handing in cards each day.
What do other members think?

We have had 50 mm of rainfull from Sunday 3rd to Wednesday 6th October. Greens are very wet but still holding up with the amount of play. Raised height of greens to 5.5mm on Monday to reduce amount of stress that they are receiving.
We are starting our winter plan which consists of a lot of tree work - ( i.e. tidying the course up trying to create more air flow and allow more sunlight around greens ) which we have started on the 1st hole.
