Winter Rules

Please be aware that Winter Rules are now in effect. So pick, clean and replace, within 6 inches, on closely mown areas (i.e. fairways and collars to greens) is permitted.  Remember players have to mark the position of their ball before pick it up! Also balls EMBEDDED in their own pitch mark through the green  may be picked up, cleaned and dropped as near as possible to their pitch…

Congratulations to Kieron Costello for winning this year's Stableford Final.

The somewhat trying weather conditions in the early part of the competition meant that the scores were not too high but tightly bunched with 2nd (Bill Ryan), 3rd (Dave Comerford) and 4th (Alan Forbes) all being decided on countback.

Congratulations to Bernadette Sheehan, this year's Ladies Medal Champion.  Well done. 

Course construction works are now finished for this year except that;

We will complete the medal tee on 2nd, weather permitting, and remeasure the course.

We will be using the existing medal tees on 4, 6 and 14 as Yellow ( and if you wish Red) temporary tees from this weekend. New course guide and scorecards will be produced following remeasure.

We will be trying to improve the temporary tees this week and on some holes will move over to winter mats instead of forward…
