CORONAVIRUS PROCEDURES – TRENT PARK GOLF CLUB MEMBERS

These procedures are in place at Trent Park Golf Course until advised otherwise.

General

• PLEASE ENSURE APPROPRIATE SOCIAL DISTANCING AT ALL TIMES WITHIN THE TRENT PARK GOLF COURSE (TPGC) AREA
• TPGC is operating 2-ball only format, until directed otherwise, with tee times of 8 minutes intervals. Bookings should, wherever…

So the lockdown eases and we are now allowed to play golf and Trent Park will be open from Tuesday 19^th May. This fourth Trent Park GC newsletter covers some of the procedures we are going to have to follow both as a club and as individual golfers to keep safe during our time on the course. Membership proposals for 2020 and some thoughts on competitions are also covered.

Firstly membership, we have decided to operate a 10 month year and pro-rata our membership…

Trent Park Golf Course is due to open on Tuesday 19th May for two ball format only.

All tee times to be made direct through Trent Park Golf Course online bookings

Trent Park Golf course has now been closed until further notice due to the recent government rules to stay at home to save lives.

Please follow the government advice and take care of your personal health and the health of others.

In these worrying times as of today we can report that the course is currently open until further notice.

If you wish to play golf you can, and we will continue to run our normal weekend competitions for those who wish to participate in them. Just take bit of care when signing in that groups do not crowd the old green fee office. 

Regarding membership, renewals are due from 1st April but we are going to relax our pay by…

The Easter Trophy, which was due to be played on Friday the 10th April due to Coronavirus epidemic will not go ahead. This event will not be rescheduled for later in the year.

Whether our other majors go ahead as planned remains to be seen but, if possible, we will attempt to reschedule them. The same goes for some of the new competitions, the 4BBB stableford and the singles league. …

If you're playing competition golf at TPGC - Winter Rules have now ended, so no pick and place.

This year, to encourage more players to enter the comps TPGC have reduced the competition fees.

Weekend Comps will be £3 and the Weekday comps (Tuesday & Thursday) will be £2.

The Weekday Comps are to start soon, (so I've heard from Crispin) so watch this site for more details.

We have far to many members protecting there handicaps and not entering the comps every week, i know i'am guilty of this myself of doing so, this has to change.maybe there can be a rule were you must enter so many a  year. to be determined by the committee. me personally it would would, even the field and it encourage more member's participating. This is just a personal opinion. comment's would be appreciated.
