Winter rules have come early this year...
"When a player's ball lies in a part of the General Area cut to fairway height or less the player may take free relief once by placing the ball in the relief area specified as follows.
Reference point: spot of the original ball
Size of Relief Area Measured from Reference Point: length of a scorecard
Limits: must not be closer to the hole, must be in the General Area.
The ball may be cleaned under this local rule.
Penalty for playing from a wrong place 2 shots.
